Court documents have revealed how police found the body of Jody Meyers buried under concrete in Neil Archer’s mother’s Murray Park back yard.

The 20 year old Mannum local went missing after a family celebration at Burdett in August 2015, messages sent from her phone suggested she had left her then 2 year old son for some time out from her relationship.

The Documents show Mr Archer admitted to his brother that he had killed Jody and buried her under the freshly poured concrete. He had fought with Ms Meyers on the night of her death, he sat in the car while she attended the family gathering.

When she returned and they drove home he snapped, strangling Jody with the cord from his hoodie, which remained wrapped around her neck when police exhumed her body from underneath the tool shed floor. Mr Archer said when he came to his sense she was already gone.

He has pleaded guilty to the murder, the case is currently hearing sentencing submissions.
