Yoko Ono has been given credit as the co-writer of John Lennon's 'Imagine'. Since its 1971 release, the song has been credited to Lennon alone, with Ono and Phil Spector being listed as co-producers. 'Imagine' was awarded the Centennial Song Award by the US National Music Publishers Association on Wednesday June 14 (US time) where Ono was surprised by the announcement while in attendance with her son, Sean Lennon. NMPA president and CEO David Israelite said at the ceremony, "While things may have been different in 1971, today I am glad to say things have changed. So tonight, it is my distinct honor to correct the record some 48 years later, and recognize Yoko Ono as a co-writer of the NMPA Centennial Song 'Imagine' and to present Yoko Ono with this well-deserved credit.”

Gene Simmons, frontman and bass guitarist for KISS, is reportedly attempting to trademark the 'devil horns' rock hand gesture. The Hollywood Reporter  has stated that Simmons has filed an application to the US Patent and Trademark Office to trademark the gesture for “entertainment, namely, live performances by a musical artist; personal appearances by a musical artist.”

While promoting their new self-titled joint album, Lindsey Buckingham and Christine McVie have revealed that Fleetwood Mac are planning to embark on a world tour. Speaking to The One Show, McVie said that, "We’re going to start rehearsing in March, next year. The tour is around June. It will be global.”

Following the terrorist attack on Manchester Arena last month, the venue will remain closed until September in order for extensive repairs to take place. Scheduled shows by Kings of Leon, Kiss, Celine Dion, Radiohead, Blink 182, Take That and WWE Wrestling have either been cancelled or moved. A spokesperson for the arena said, "We would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude to all our customers and friends for their continued support and patience during this time and our ongoing thoughts and prayers remain with all those affected by the 22 May atrocity," said a spokesperson for the arena.
