ANZAC Day, April 25, is one of the most important dates on the Australian calendar, a day of remembrance of service and sacrifice.
In ordinary times, commemorative services are held at dawn across the nation, followed later in the day by ex-servicemen and women meeting to take part in marches through the major cities and in many smaller centres.
But these are extraordinary times with world-wide COVID-19 health restrictions and public health is paramount.
Accordingly, RSL SA/NT has announced the cancellation of the 2020 Adelaide ANZAC Day activities:
- State RSL ANZAC Eve Youth Vigil
- Dawn Service
- ANZAC Day March
- Cross of Sacrifice Service
- ANZAC on Torrens Parade Ground
Most RSL Sub-Branches have been encouraged by RSL SA/NT to conform to all government directives regarding indoor and outdoor gathering limits. Please check with local organisers regarding their cancelled or planned activities.
Remembrance of service and sacrifice are important to our society. You may choose to pay respects in your own way by:
- Remembering from within your home
- Viewing or listening to media broadcasts and online coverage
We will always remember the dedication, commitment and sacrifice of our Defence Forces, past and present.
Lest We Forget
