All Culture Fest 2019
Mon 19 Aug 2019 05:46 am to 05:46 am
A MELTING pot of colour, singing, dancing, storytelling and food, will showcase the multicultural Murraylands at the All Culture Fest in June!
Several hundred people are expected to pack the Town Hall this year for the popular annual celebration featuring a variety of cultural performances and free afternoon tea.
The event is a fun and educational way for families to spend an afternoon, but also important for building connections within the community.
It brings people together from all cultural backgrounds to celebrate our cultural diversity.
“It’s a free family friendly event and we would like to invite the whole community to come along to learn about and enjoy the rich cultural and social flavours in our community.”
A Citizenship ceremony will also be held to welcome the community’s newest Australians.
2016 census results showed a significant number of Murray Bridge residents were born in the United Kingdom and a growing number of people hailed from the Philippines and China. Migrants from New Zealand, Taiwan, Vietnam, India and many more countries have chosen to make Murray Bridge their home.
All Culture Fest 2019 will be held 1.30pm to 4pm Saturday 22 June at the Murray Bridge Town Hall.
The event is a collaboration between The Rural City of Murray Bridge, the Murraylands Migrant Resource Centre and ac.care in celebration of Refugee Week 2019.
