A beloved stage show celebrating radio dramas of the 1950s is hitting the road for a regional South Australian tour, starting in Murray Bridge and finishing in Victor Harbor.

The Great Detectives franchise that has been running for 10 years, has an all-new mystery story to share with audiences.

Performer Benjamin Mao Mackay has told ARN Radio’s Adam Connelly and Jennie Lenman that it has been a wonderful production to be a part of since its inception ten years ago.

“Its this intricate, intimate tribute to 1950s radio drama. It’s a little bit farcical, it’s got some mystery element to it, it’s just resonated with audiences all over the country,” he said

Benjamin is part of a small cast of four actors playing multiple characters, including characters within the radio dramas within the play.

Great Detectives: All New Mysteries will play in venues across Murray Bridge, Elizabeth, Wallaroo, Mt Gambier, Kangaroo Island, Renmark, The Riverland, Whyalla, Port Pirie, and Victor Harbor between August 3 and November 23.
