Call for Witnesses to Serious Hills Fleurieu Crashes

There have been two serious crashes in the Hills Fleurieu region, one in Strathalbyn and one in Mt Jagged.

A car and ute collided on Victor Harbor Road, near the intersection of Mosquito Hill Road, Mount Jagged about 2.45pm yesterday, Thursday 18 July.

Seven people involved were taken to hospital.

The driver of a Subaru sedan, a 26-year-old Tooperang woman, was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Her passengers, a 26-year-old Tooperang woman and a 7-year-old boy, both sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The family in the Mitsubishi ute, a 46-year-old male driver and his passengers, a 43-year-old woman, 12-year-old boy and 10-year-old boy, all from Port Noarlunga South, also sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Then around 5.45pm, police and emergency services were called to Parker Avenue in Strathalbyn, following reports that a car had collided with a parked unoccupied truck.

The driver of the Peugeot, an 85-year-old Strathalbyn woman, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

Major Crash officers attended both scenes to examine the circumstances of the collisions.
