The CFS has praised the exceptional work of its volunteer firefighters for containing a fire in reeds and grass, in hard-to-access terrain along Lake Alexandrina.

The incident at Wellington in the Murraylands yesterday, Wednesday 6 March, took hold late in the morning, with at least five trucks and two dozen firefighters working to contain the blaze.
