Police are at the scene of a fatal crash at Chain of Ponds, where one man has died and three other men have sustained life-threatening injuries.
About 9.25am today (Wednesday 18 October), emergency services were called to South Para Road after reports that a car had left the road and collided with a tree, about 100 metres south of Adelaide Gully Road.
A male passenger in the vehicle sadly died at the scene. The driver and two other occupants have been taken to the Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment of their critical injuries.
As of 3pm, South Para Road is still closed between North East Road and Kersbrook Road.
Police ask motorists to avoid the area if possible.
The man’s death is the 93rd life lost on SA roads compared with 57 at the same time last year.
