A significant drug bust has been made in Tailem Bend last night, with approximately five kilograms of cocaine seized.
Police conducted a traffic stop on a car at around 6pm in Tailem Bend, with officers finding five vacuum packed blocks of cocaine weighing approximately 1kg each upon searching the vehicle.
It’s alleged the quantity seized stopped roughly 5000 street deals.
As a result, a 32-year-old man from Mawson Lakes was arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cocaine.
Detectives from Serious and Organised Crime Branch subsequently searched a home at Mawson Lakes, where they found items which will be alleged afford additional evidence of the man’s involvement in commercial drug trafficking.
The man is due to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court today.
