A woman from Murray Bridge has a date with the courts in future for allegedly setting a rubbish bin on fire.
About 2.15pm on 6 November, police and MFS were called to Adelaide Road at Murray Bridge after a garbage bin was set of fire and completely destroyed.
Following an investigation, police located a 31-year-old local woman and she was subsequently reported for property damage. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
Police say the incident is a timely reminder that the start of the Fire Danger Season has now commenced in the Murraylands and is set to start on 15 November in Adelaide Metro, Kangaroo Island and the Mount Lofty Ranges and that any fire-related incidents are more dangerous during the season and can put lives at risk.
The CFS website has useful information about the fire danger season.
