The proposal for an OTR petrol station, car wash and fast food restaurant at the old Heathfield Motors site in the Adelaide Hills has been denied by the Council Assessment Panel.
There has been a long running dispute between some Heathfield community members wanting to maintain the quiet street environment and the major company wanting to expand.
More than 3,600 people signed a petition against the development on change.org in 2021 when it was first proposed.

The applicants now have 2 months to appeal the decision.
