Police are investigating after a van was used to break into a Kersbrook Hotel this morning.
Police were called to Scott Road around 4:30am, after witnesses reported hearing glass smashing and a vehicle reversing.
Significant damage was caused to the front of the premises and the ATM had been stolen.
50 minutes later, the van was allegedly set on fire on North East Road at Chain of Ponds, prompting a quick response from local CFS crews who were forced to contain a grass fire which had been started as a result.
Police located part of the stolen ATM on the floor beside the destroyed van.
Enquires revealed that the Ford van had been stolen from Tanunda a short time earlier.
Police searched the area but have been unable to locate any suspects so far; anyone with more information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
