The winter round of the SA Tourism Commission’s ‘Rise Up for Our River’ scheme has just opened at 9am this morning for prospective tourists to get a good deal to explore and stay in the Murray River region.
More than 120 businesses have signed up to be part of the scheme this round, including Houseboat operators who are finally ready to return to operation following the major flood event over summer.
Prospective tourists can select from $100, $200 and for the first time, $750 vouchers.
The window for entering the ballot is from now until 10pm Wednesday 21 June. The window for bookings is 23 June to 30 November.
There will be a second draw for unused vouchers on 27 July.
The initiative aims to support businesses adversely affected by the recent River Murray flooding event.
