A young professional in Encounter Bay has taken out a prestigious award at the 2024 SA Young Achiever Awards on Friday 17 May at the Stamford Grand Hotel in Adelaide.
Tom Ford, clinical optometrist, won the Rural Doctors Workforce Agency Rural Health Award, presented onstage by Gretchen Scinta, Executive Director PHC Workforce & Outreach, Rural Doctors Workforce Agency.
The 28-year-old was selected from a strong field of young achievers and has been recognised for his outstanding patient care, professional development and volunteer work.
He was also recognised for his proactive approach to ocular health and for creating trust among patients, local doctors, and specialists.
