The Tailem Bend Christmas Pageant and Wonderland planned for this Saturday 9 December has been postponed due to a cold and wet forecast.
Organisers have made the announcement today, saying they will instead hold the event on Saturday 23 December.
“We weren’t prepared to take a risk with the weather and put people at risk. So we have cleared it with Father Christmas and he has traffic control onto it,” Maxine Kiddie, Chair of the Tailem Bend Progress Association said.
Thirty floats will feature in the parade from 6pm on 23 December, along with 13 Tailem Bend Auto Cars.
Children will have a chance to meet Father Christmas at the Wonderland too.
