Police have arrested two youths after a short car pursuit early yesterday morning in Murray Bridge.
About 2am on Wednesday 16 August, patrols saw a Toyota Kluger being driven on Adelaide Road. Police attempted to stop the car however it continued for about 300m before coming to a stop and two occupants were seen running from the vehicle.
Checks revealed the vehicle was stolen a short time earlier from a Murray Bridge address.
Murray Bridge patrols with the assistance of Mount Barker patrols, PolAir and Dog Operations located the suspects at a nearby address where they were swiftly arrested.
A 14-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy both from Murray Bridge, were charged with illegal use and driving offences. The teenagers have also been charged with further offences for outstanding matters including serious criminal trespass, theft, breach of bail and driving offences.
They were both refused police bail and will appear in Adelaide Youth Court today, Thursday 17 August.
