A young man from Mannum has died after a two car crash near Murray Bridge.
About 5.10pm on Wednesday 22 May, emergency services were called to Pfeiffer Road at Brinkley, after reports a Ford ute travelling east and a Holden Commodore travelling west collided.
The driver of the Holden, a 19-year-old Mannum man died at the scene while the other driver, a 46-year-old local man, was airlifted to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Pfeiffer Road was closed for several hours while Major Crash Investigators attended the scene, but has since reopened to all traffic.
The man’s death is the 37th life lost on South Australian roads this year.
Crash in Meningie
Another driver has been rushed to hospital following a single-vehicle crash at Meningie.
Their car left the road and hit a tree on Narrung Road about 9.15pm yesterday. The driver was taken to the local hospital by ambulance.
