Mix 102.3 FM and Cruise 1323 Weekend Newsreader and ABC Radio Adelaide Producer joins 5MU and Power FM.

Adelaide Broadcaster, Journalist and Producer Jennie Lenman has accepted the position of Journalist/Newsreader at 5MU & Power FM and Host of "SA Today" on 5MU, taking over from Claire Murphy who has accepted a position in Sydney

With experience in community, commercial and public media, in television and radio, Jennie’s multi-faceted skillset is perfect for such a diverse role.

“I am delighted to be joining the Power FM and 5MU team.

With a passion for broadcasting and a drive to share people's stories, I'm thrilled about the opportunity to present local news bulletins and host "SA Today". Radio is a powerful medium - I love the way it welcomes listeners like old friends, captures imaginations and empathically informs through shared experience.

I have some rather large shoes to fill; it's no secret that Claire Murphy was incredible in the role and was adored by workmates and listeners alike. I look forward to the challenge of taking it on with the support of an incredible team. I also look forward to meeting listeners and giving them a platform to share what is most important to them – Jennie Lenman.

Program Director Mel Dzelde is thrilled to have Jennie on board:

We are excited to welcome Jennie to our dynamic team. When faced with the task of finding someone to take on Claire Murphy’s role, l knew I had to find someone strong, dedicated and passionate about local Radio. Jennie is committed to connecting to her audience and with her knowledge in politics, music and her interest in being a strong voice for the local community, she's a perfect fit to a team already known in the Adelaide Hills, Murraylands and the South Coast for being there for the locals. – Mel Dzelde

You can hear Jennie on air reading the news on Power FM and 5MU early February.
