Terminally ill patient gets his wish to see the Force Awakens early

The Ultimate Star Wars fan, Daniel Fleetwood, a 31-year-old Texas man, was given just a few months to live after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer, and didn’t think he would make it to the December 17th Premiere of the new Star Wars film.

Fleetwood’s wish to see the film before he died went viral last week as the hashtag #ForceForDaniel spread around the world. Star Wars stars John Boyega, Peter Mayhew and Mark Hamill even helped to support the cause.

Film director J.J Abrams as well as Disney and Lucasfilm heard about the fan’s wish and made it come true

His wife announced the news on her Facebook page.

"Daniels final dream was just granted!!!
