An Adelaide Hills man has been charged with a raft of offences after allegedly taking police on a chase in an unregistered and uninsured car.
Around 11.40am on Thursday 28 May, Hills Fluerieu patrols attempted to stop the blue Ford sedan on Cleggett Road at Littlehampton, but the driver continued for a kilometre before crashing into a tree.
The 39-year-old allegedly ran from the vehicle but was chased down and tackled by an officer.
The Littlehampton man was charged with disobeying reasonable directions, driving without due care, driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle, driving disqualified and hindering police.
He was granted bail to appear in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 2 September. The vehicle was defected and towed from the scene.
