Strath Town Hall Upgrade Fast-Tracked

The Strathalbyn Town Hall upgrade will happen  sooner than anticipated thanks to  a financial boost from council.

Alexandrina Council has allocated $422,900 for the project in the 2020-2021 budget.

The 19th century hall, formerly 'Institute', will undergo a number of changes including the relocation of its kitchen, the installation of new bar facilities, a new dressing room and 'green room', and refurbishment of the supper room.

New LED lighting, ceiling fans and a new stage sound systems will also be installed.

The project, which has been in the works since 2016, is now getting underway, with stage 2 of the project due to be completed January 2021.
