A number of local drivers have been caught doing the wrong thing.
Last Tuesday police stopped a 39-year-old woman from Sapphiretown on Kangaroo Island after being detected travelling at 130km/h in a 110km/h zone.
The woman was drug tested and returned a positive result to methamphetamine.
Saturday just after 1pm police stopped a a 45-year-old man from Gumeracha on Turner Road at Kenton Valley for a drug test.
The Driver returned a positive reading for methamphetamine.
Both drivers may face further penalties subject to further forensic testing.
Then on Sunday police stopped a 26-year-old man from Seaford on Victor Harbor Road at Mt Compass in relation to a routine traffic stop. Police will allege the driver provided them with a false name. The man was arrested and charged with providing a false name, driving unlicenced and breach of bail.
The man is expected to face court at a later date.
