Police are investigating two serious single vehicle crashes in the Adelaide Hills.
Just after 1.30am today, 31 July, authorities were called to Gorge Rd in Paracombe following reports that a car hit guard rail before leaving the road and crashing about 30 metres down an embankment.
The driver, a 19-year-old local man and his passenger, a 19-year-old from Elizabeth East managed to escape mostly unscathed.
The driver was treated for a minor hand injury.
It follows a crash in Birdwood on Thursday afternoon in which a car hit a tree near the intersection of Randell and Peake Rds.
The driver is being treated in hospital for serious injuries and the passenger has been treated for minor injuries.
Major Crash investigators attended the scene, and traffic delays were in place for several hours.
Roads have since been reopened.
