A passenger involved in yesterday’s Riverland crash has been arrested for allegedly driving a stolen vehicle.
A young Murray Bridge driver and his two passengers were taken to hospital following a serious crash at 2.30am Monday 10 August at Renmark.
It is alleged the three were in a stolen car when the 16-year-old boy hit a light pole before flipping and landing in the front of a property around 2.30am today.
The driver and the rear passenger, a 24-year-old man from Berri, both suffered life threatening injuries while the front passenger, an 18-year-old from Berri received minor injuries.
Police say the car was stolen from a Renmark address nearby a short time before the crash.
The 18-year-old was charged with illegal use later in the afternoon.
He has been bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court on 1 September.
