The Mount Barker High School community is reeling from vandalism and a theft.
Last week on Tuesday or Wednesday night, a time capsule on the Centenary Path was vandalised and 4 cylinders from inside were stolen.
According to Chris Draper from the faculty, the cylinders were placed in the capsule 12 years ago and were to be opened in 2033.
"The school has now had taken from it a very piece of its history of which it is very proud of," Chris Draper from school faculty wrote in an impassioned Facebook post on Sunday 27 September.
If you know anything about the theft or whereabouts of the cylinders, you are being encouraged to get in touch with Mt Barker High School or SAPOL.
