Murray Bridge's upgraded Jubilee Park is being officially opened today.

The Rotary Club of Mobilong has been collaborating and financially contributing to the project as part of the Rural City's Swanport Masterplan; assisting with outdoor furniture, shading and  environmental improvements.

In recognition of their support, the outdoor community facility is being renamed 'Jubilee Rotary Park'.

The service club has worked with the Rural City of Murray Bridge on a range of community  projects including revegetation on Adelaide Road, a BBQ shelter in Homburg Park and  portable structure in the Bremer Road Cemetery.

The council undertook a community consulation last August to determine public support for the name-change.

The Member for Barker Tony Pasin and a number of other community members and distinguished guests will be in attendance at the launch.

It follows an Australia Day recognition for Rotary Mobilong member Wendy Gabroit  who, on Tuesday, received an Order of Australia medal from the Governor-General for her community work.
