The Victor Harbor Community Childcare Centre could lose its home as a result of the hospital’s multi-million dollar expansion.
According to workers at the non-for-profit community service, the hospital board has indicated the space will be lost after a new ED, Renal Dialysis Unit and helipad are built.
While the childcare centre has some time to move, there has been no indication that there will be compensation or assistance for relocation, despite running for thirty years and still having nine years left on the lease.
The Southern Fleurieu Health Advisory Council board has been contacted for comment.
