Works are underway for the $8.2 million dollar Goolwa Oval Recreation Precinct.

A new facility will meet the needs of over 900 registered sporting club members across seven clubs.

Stage One building designs for the new multi-purpose clubrooms feature a new two-storey building including change rooms, first aid rooms, umpire spaces, toilets, social spaces, canteen, kitchen, bar, multiple storage areas and optimum viewing for many spectators.

Stage One is expected to be completed by December 2022.

The project will also deliver a new oval, upgraded and additional netball and tennis courts, cricket training nets, court lighting and upgrades to open space areas.

The works will incorporate environmental elements including solar panels, rainwater storage and recycled materials.

Up to 57 jobs are being created during the construction period with three full time ongoing positions afterwards.
