Despite the idea spending 6 years on the Victor Harbor Council’s agenda, it will be the SA Environment Department who launches the Granite Island pilot sculpture trail project next week.

The idea started with Port Elliot sculptor Will Hendricks, who had hoped to be involved in the current version of the project, but it has been announced that Sculpture by the Sea Inc has been employed by DEWNR to create the trail on a trial basis for the next three years.

VIP’s including Premier Jay Weatherill and Environment Minister Ian Hunter will attend the launch on the island next Friday December 15.
