Mannum Raids Finds Drugs And Weapons

A tip off from the public led to a police raid on ten homes across Mannum lat week, the search turning up drugs and weapons.

Local police alongside the State Tactical Response Group with two drug detection dogs searched the properties on Thursday finding cannabis, methamphetamines, a gun and other weapons.

As a result of those searches:

  • a 27-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman from Mannum were both reported for trafficking a controlled drug, possess a controlled drug for sale and possessing
  • a prohibited weapon after an amount of cannabis, methamphetamine and a laser pointer were found.
  • a 22-year-old man from Mannum was reported for trafficking a controlled drug after cannabis was found
  • a 27-year-old man from Mannum was reported for possession of a prescribed firearm
  • a 31-year-old man from Murray Bridge was arrested for a breach of bail and possessing prescribed medication
  • a 47-year-old woman from Mannum was reported for possessing prescribed medication

Police also issued a total of 10 Cannabis Expiation Notices along with seven 7 drug diversion notices. The three men and two women reported will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date. The arrested man was bailed to appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court at a later date.
