Due to a high level of demand, another Bystander Intervention Workshop will be held in Murray Bridge next week.
The workshops empower participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to safely intervene in situations where the respect or safety of women is in question, and to challenge behaviours and attitudes that reinforce gender inequality.
The propgram is part of YWCA's Rise Above the Pack initiative, a community safety campaign that aims to shift the conversation from victim blaming to perpetrator behaviour, and engage men and women to play a leadership role in creating safe and respectful communities.
The campaign also places emphasis on drawing the link between gender inequality and violence against women.
With the recent workshop experiencing a lot of interest, another will be held at the Murray Bridge library on Tuesday June 26th 2018 from 10:30am to 1pm.
