Those looking to apply for a Murray Bridge Council Community Grant are encouraged to attend an info session later this month.
Groups who may have a project that would benefit the community are encouraged to apply for the funding, with a new grant focusing on the environment hoping to reduce waste sent to landfill, prevent the effects of climate change and encourage revegetation and water conservation.
Chief Executive Officer Michael Sedgman said grant funding programs offered residents and community groups the chance to help make their goals a reality.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for community groups to take advantage of a significant Council investment each year to support community driven innovative projects and
events,” he said.
An information session will be held 12noon Wednesday 22 August in the upstairs meeting room at the Murray Bridge Town Hall.
RSVP by 16 September to Simone Zrna on 8539 1182.
Grant application forms are available from the Council’s website www.murraybridge.gov.au or the Local Government Centre at 2 Seventh Street Murray Bridge.
Grant applications close 4.45pm Friday 7 September 2018.
