A confidential settlement has been reached between high profile Chinese business woman Sally Zou and the Adelaide Hills cherry grower she allegedly owed hundreds of thousands of dollars.

The AusGold mining director’s company had placed the order for 32 tons of cherries from Gumeracha’s Torrens Valley Orchard back in January 2018, with the $414,000 payment still not received by March, Torrens Valley issues a statuary demand for payment, then calling for Ms Zou’s business be wound up over the unpaid debt.

Ms Zou claimed she had the money to pay but had questioned the quality of the product they were sent. The matter has now been settled.
