Man Avoids Jail For Two Town Chase

Despite being on a good behaviour bond at the time of his arrest for leading police on a high speed chase in Murray Bridge last year, a 29 year old man has escaped jail time.

The man was charged with driving dangerously in August 2017 after he sped away from police in Murray Bridge, evading them on the South Eastern Freeway to Monarto and back to Murray Bridge before he was stopped by road spikes.

The judge has taken into account the man’s good behaviour and employment since his arrest and the poor relationship between his family and police which made him fear the officers.

He’s been ordered to pay for his impounded car and has been placed on another good behaviour bond.
