Man Tries Running From Breath Test

A man has been arrested after attempting to run from a random breath test in the Adelaide Hills.

The 43 year old was pulled over on Albert Rd in Mt Barker just after 2:30am Monday October 29, running when the officer approached to conduct the breath test.

He was found a short time later and reported for hindering police. He will face court at a later date.

About 9am on Monday 29 October, police stopped a man driving on Cudlee Creek Road, Cudlee Creek and submitted him to a roadside drug test. A 47-year-old man from Lobethal allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine. He was issued with a driver direction not to drive for 24 hours and may face charges pending results of a forensic analysis.

Police stopped a woman driving on Jade Court at Hayborough about 4pm on Monday and submitted her to a roadside drug test. A 20-year-old woman allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine. She was issued with a driver direction not to drive for 24 hours and may face charges pending results of a forensic analysis.

Just before 4pm on Monday, a man was spotted by patrols on Currawong Way at Mt Barker riding a motor cross bike through the park. Cordons were set and the rider was arrested a short time later.

A 19-year-old man from Mt Barker was arrested for riding while disqualified and riding an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

About 4am on Thursday 1 November, police stopped a car on Tolarno Drive, Hindmarsh Island and breath tested the driver. She allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.110.

A 42-year-old woman from Hindmarsh Island was reported for drink driving and issued with a six month instant loss of licence. She will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

Police stopped a 36-year-old man from Andrews Farm on South Para Road, Kersbrook about 6.15pm on Thursday. The man was drug tested and allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine. The man was also driving with a disqualified driver’s licence.

He was reported for driving disqualified and may face further charges pending results of a forensic analysis.

At 8.30pm on Thursday, police responded to a crash on Lobethal Road at Basket Range after a car hit a tree. The driver, a 36-year-old man from Teringie, was drug tested and allegedly returned a positive result to methamphetamine. He may face further charges pending results of a forensic analysis.

About 11.15pm on Thursday, police stopped a 51-year-old man from Port Elliot in relation to his manner of driving. He was drug tested and allegedly returned a positive result to cannabis. He may face charges pending results of a forensic analysis.

A 33-year-old man from Morphett Vale was arrested for stating false particulars and driving while unlicenced. The man was stopped on Euston Road at Aldgate about 12.45am on Friday 2 November. He was bailed to appear in in the Mount Barker Magistrates Court on 19 December.
