The River Murray Boating and Advisory Group are looing for your feedback on river safety, with the launch of the 2019 Rivermurraylife boating safety survey.
The group is looking for feedback from a large and diverse section of the community who enjoy boating on the River Murray, saying with the peak holiday season now underway it’s important to listen to concerns and find out what is working and what is not.
Adam Bruce, Chairman of The River Murray Boating & Recreational Advisory Group says they've appreciated the feedback received in the past.
“We last surveyed river users in 2015, we received a great response and we are again looking to get feedback from a large and diverse section of the community who enjoy boating on the River Murray. With the peak holiday season underway we believe it’s important to listen to concerns and find out what is working well.”
The Chairman of the group is also calling on boaties to check their safety equipment before heading out on the water these holidays and to be mindful of others when you’re using a boat or jetski in high traffic areas.
“It is important for everyone to enjoy a safe and fun time on the river this holiday period and for boat and jet ski operators to be mindful of the effects of speed and wash in high traffic areas. There are plenty of areas to enjoy and we ask operators to spread out and look out for each other and enjoy an incident free period” said Mr Bruce.
