A European backpacker has wept while recounting the moment a Meningie Hobby farmer allegedly shoved a gun into her back and threatened to shoot her.
The 26-year-old told, in yesterday's court hearing, her account of the alleged kidnapping and raping in February, 2017.
She alleges Gene Charles Bristow answered her online advertisement looking for farm work and that she arranged to meet the 54 year old at Murray Bridge before he drove her "a few hours" to the property and took her to a disused pig shed.
Once inside, she says he asked to check her feet for needle marks to ensure she was not a drug user.
Bristow has plead 'not guilty' to the charges.
