Woman in Critical Condition & Man Arrested After Head-on Crash

A woman is in a critical condition and a man has been arrested after a serious crash in McLaren Vale.

Just after 9.30 on Tuesday 12 March, police and emergency services were called to the intersection of Seaview Road and Victor Harbor Road after a truck and a sedan collided head on.

A 50-year-old McCracken woman is in a critical condition in hospital while the truck driver, a 22-year-old Findon man, was not injured.

The truck driver allegedly returned a positive blood alcohol result of 0.093 and has been arrested and charged with aggravated cause harm by dangerous driving and drink driving.

Victor Harbor Road was closed for several hours while Major Crash Investigators examined the scene but has since been re-opened.
