A grass fire in Mount Torrens in the Adelaide Hills has been contained.
The blaze started just after 2pm on Thursday 14 March 2019, 2 kilometres West of the Mount Torrens Township off Hirthes Road and was burning out of control for around an hour before local crews and aerial support managed to contain the fire to 3 hectares.
Several houses and other buildings within the vicinity were spared thanks to firefighter intervention.
As of Thursday evening, CFS allerted the public that the threat from the fire had reduced, with residents reminded to take care in the area.
