Adelaide Hills & Murraylands Queen's Honors Recipients

A handful of talented locals in the Adelaide Hills and Murraylands join South Australians Guy Sebastian and Natasha Stott Despoja in receiving awards in the 2019 Queen’s Birthday Honours List.

Science Alive! event director and SciWorld co-creator Brian Robert Haddy from Nairne has been awarded a medal of service for science education.

Suzanne Ellen Lewis from Mannum and Daryl Keith Hocking from Frahns have both been awarded honors for their service to diving.  

Dr Peter Ronald Dry from Belair has been recognised for his significant service to viticulture, particularly to wine-grape research.

Gregory Deane Edgecombe from Aldgate has been awarded for significant service to Australia-Indonesia relations, and to the community.

Margaret Charlotte Fischer from Hahndorf has also been acknowledged for her significant service to the festival sector, and to the LGBTIQ community.
