Two Hills Teens Charged with Aggravated Robbery

Two teenagers have been arrested for snatching elderly women’s bags in the Adelaide Hills.

A 17-year-old Mount Barker boy and 16-year-old Dawesley boy were charged on Friday 14 June with aggravated robbery.

Police allege the teens pushed over two elderly women and stole their bags in Gawler Street, Mount Barker at 2.30pm that day.

Police were called and several witnesses provided descriptions and other information to help patrols.  The handbags and some of the women's property were located nearby.

The victims were both taken to the Mount Barker Hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Both teens have been bailed to attend at the Mount Barker Youth Court in July.
