Two cars burst into flames on the South Eastern Freeway on Thursday 11 July, causing a huge delay for commuters.
Just after 1pm a 4WD caught fire near Stirling while traveling to Adelaide.
As emergency services attended the incident, they discovered another car with smoke coming out of its bonnet in a tunnel heading South.
A fire took hold in the engine bay, sending plumes of smoke across the freeway. The CFS managed to put out both fires and no one was injured.
Both lanes of traffic were blocked for several hours.
