A South Coast man has been arrested for a raft of offences following a police chase.
Authorities say the 26-year-old Middleton man was under the influence of methamphetamine and in possession of cannabis while driving unlicenced and unregistered with incorrect number plates on Monday 27 January.
Police attempted to pull over the car on Honeypot Road in Noarlunga just after 1.30pm but he allegedly took off, taking police on a chase to Hackham where his car appeared to have mechanical issues, rolling backward into a police car.
The man allegedly got out of his car and ran to Cabernet Drive and Pennys Hill Road where he went into the back yard of a home. Extra patrols were called and cordoned surrounding streets.
A short time later a man was located and arrested and then taken to Noarlunga Hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.
He is expected to be charged with numerous offences including drive to evade police, drive without due care, drive unlicenced, unregistered, property damage, drug driving and unlawful possession.
