One of SA’s leading equestrian facilities has allegedly been busted with a commercial quantity of drugs.
Kirkcaldy Park in Meadows was raided January 23 with police alleging they seized cannabis plants from two large sheds.
Property owner Karin Edwards has told the Advertiser that she was not aware of any illegal activity at her property. Police have not charged or accused her of any wrongdoing.
Ms Edwards quit her role as Vice chair of Equestrian SA not long after the incident.
A 53-year-old Meadows man was arrested and charged with trafficking a large commercial quantity of cannabis.
He has been bailed to appear in the Mt Barker Magistrates Court on March 25.
Police say more arrests are likely.
