Pair charged over violent neighbour brawl

A man and boy have been charged with assaulting their older neighbours with sticks and a baseball bat in southeast Queensland.

A 70-year-old man suffered a fracture to his arm, bruising and lacerations after he was allegedly attacked by the pair during a confrontation in the regional town of Laidley on Saturday evening.

A 50-year-old man also suffered minor injuries.

A 23-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy have both been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm, serious assault of a person over 60 and acts intended to maim, disfigure or disable.
