Lindsey Buckingham has been fired from Fleetwood Mac and replaced by Neil Finn - No. It's not even April 1st.
Buckingham won't be touring with Fleetwood Mac on its upcoming world tour and no reason has been given for the split.
Although this exclusive audio from a phone conversation between Buckingham and Fleetwood certainly sheds some light on the situation.
Buckingham, 68, joined the group in 1974 with then-girlfriend Stevie Nicks, and has been its frequent front man and sometime songwriter for most of the years since. He wrote and sang hits such as Go Your Own Way and Tusk.
In his place, Neil Finn of Crowded House and Mike Campbell of Tom Petty's Heartbreakers will tour with Fleetwood Mac this fall. They'll be joined by longtime members Nicks, Christine McVie, John McVie and Mick Fleetwood.
