Students heading into year 12 next year who are passionate about STEM subjects (science, technology, engineering and maths) have an opportunity to rub shoulders with some of the biggest science superstars at the National Youth Science Forum in Summer.

The Rotary Club is offering financial assistance for some budding scientists to head along to the Canberra and Brisbane events in January 2021 with applications soon to close 14 June this year.

The CEO of the forum, Dr Melanie Bagg, is a science communicator, originally hailing from Tailem Bend. It took one very inspiring teacher to get Dr Bagg hooked on the extraordinary field of science.

She joins Jennie Lenman in this podcast to talk about the opportunity and the changing landscape of the industry.

To register for the National Youth Science Forum in January 2021 and look at sponsorship opportunities with Rotary Clubs, head to the website nysf.edu.au.
