A historic train is joining the fleet at SteamRanger Heritage Railway.
Operational broad gauge locomotive 844 , which was first in service in 1962, will become a cockle train in the region thanks to a donation by OneRail Australia.
The locomotive is expected to be moved by road from Dry Creek to Mt Barker in the coming months, where it will receive a cosmetic overhaul to its original livery.
Craig Dunstan, Mechanical Services Manager SteamRanger Heritage Railway, joins jennie Lenman to talk about it.
