A Southern Right calf and its mother are now safe in Sleaford Bay on the Lower Eyre Peninsula after being disturbed by boats in Encounter Bay.

Whale experts have held concerns in recent weeks over the young calf’s survival after fleeing boats all the way from Victoria to Encounter Bay on the South Coast.

Elizabeth Steele-Collins from the Encounter Whales Conservation Group joins Jennie Lenman to discuss the issue.
