Local businesses need to get ready to phase out single use plastics and prepare for a major change to packaging laws.

From next year, plastic straws, drink stirrers and single-use plastic cutlery will be banned by the State Government and from 2025, all packaging in Australia will have to meet new standards.

A free digital workshop is being facilitated by RDAMR tomorrow, Wednesday 21 October from 9.30am to 11.30am ACDST, to help arm businesses with the information they need to plan ahead.

Australian Institute of Packaging expert Ralph Moyle will be answering questions during the session. He joins Jennie Lenman in the lead-up to discuss.
